Yukio Kasamatsu - Ability Equipment Guide
In Kuroko's Basketball: Street Rivals, Yukio Kasamatsu is a highly agile Point Guard (PG) whose playstyle revolves around lightning-fast drives, "Swift Step" layups, turnaround mid-range jumpers, and elite perimeter defense. His most game-changing tool is his Ultimate ("Kaijo's Aura"), which grants him a massive 30-second boost to his movement and dribbling speeds.
To maximize Kasamatsu's potential, focus your Ability Equipment (Potentials and Traits) on a Steal & Playmaking build that enhances his Mid-Range Scoring, Steals, Control, and Ultimate Energy.
1. Best Potentials (Base Stat Runes)
Maximize his Mid-Range stat so defenders are forced to respect his jump shot, while using the remaining slots for defense (Steal) and ball security (Control/Pass).
🔵 Blue Potentials (Offense): Mid-Range & Control
Why: Mid-range is Kasamatsu’s most reliable scoring tool outside of his layups. Boosting Control/Dribble makes it much harder for elite defenders to bump him and steal the ball while he is performing his fast crossovers.
🟡 Yellow Potentials (Hybrid): Mid-Range & Steal
Why: Maintaining the Mid-Range boost while heavily buffing his Steal stat allows him to comfortably rip the ball from opposing guards on defense.
🟢 Green Potentials (Defense/Utility): Steal & Control (or Pass)
Why: This maximizes his Steal rate, turning his naturally high movement speed into a defensive nightmare. Boosting Pass ensures your kick-out passes aren't easily intercepted.
2. Best Traits (Passive Abilities)
Traits provide massive passive buffs. For Kasamatsu, you want to balance getting his Ultimate early with boosting his scoring consistency and defensive pressure.
🌟 Light of Hope / Energy Boost
Effect: Grants a large amount of initial Ultimate Energy at the start of the match.
Why: Kasamatsu's Ultimate lasts for a full 30 seconds. Activating "Kaijo's Aura" as early as possible is his biggest win condition.
🥷 Hidden Steal
Effect: Significantly increases your steal success rate when attempting to steal from a ball-handler's blind spot or side.
Why: Combined with his high-speed movement and Steal potentials, Kasamatsu can easily slip to the side of opposing players and swipe the ball away.
🎯 Focus OR Unstoppable
Effect: Boosts open-shot accuracy and anti-interference, or boosts shooting hit rate after a crossover.
Why: Kasamatsu creates space by faking a drive, then punishing them with a turnaround jump shot. These traits ensure that the shot reliably goes in.
💡 Strategy Tips
- Pop the Ultimate Early: Do not save his Ultimate for a buzzer-beater. Activate it the moment you get it to overwhelm the opponents with your raw speed and dictate the tempo.
- Mix Up Your Offense: Use his Swift Step Layup early. Once the opposing Center waits for you at the rim, fake an attack, then use a step-back or turnaround mid-range jumper.
- Harass on Defense: Use your speed to look for interception lanes, or use the Hidden Steal trait to swipe the ball when the enemy Point Guard holds the ball for too long.
