Tatsuya Himuro - Ability Equipment Guide
In Kuroko's Basketball: Street Rivals, Tatsuya Himuro is Yosen High's incredibly elegant Shooting Guard (SG). Raised on American streetball but completely devoted to textbook fundamentals, Himuro's playstyle revolves around perfect, indistinguishable pump fakes, fluid crossovers, and his signature "Mirage Shot"—a mesmerizing double-release jumper that makes it nearly impossible for defenders to time their blocks correctly.
To maximize Himuro's deceptive scoring potential, you must equip an Unblockable Scorer & Fake Master build that heavily buffs his Mid-Range, Anti-Interference, Control, and 3-Point stats.
1. Best Potentials (Base Stat Runes)
Himuro relies on forcing the opponent to guess. When they guess wrong, he needs his shots to fall flawlessly. Because defenders will often jump late (triggering an "Interference" rather than a clean block) or early, high Anti-Interference is absolutely essential to his kit.
🔵 Blue Potentials (Offense): Mid-Range & Anti-Interference
Why: The Mid-Range jumper is Himuro's deadliest weapon. Boosting Anti-Interference guarantees that even if a defender realizes they bit on a fake and tries to contest your shot at the last possible second, your shot will still splash through the net with almost no penalty.
🟡 Yellow Potentials (Hybrid): Mid-Range & Control
Why: Maintaining the Mid-Range buff is key. Control is vital for Himuro because it governs his ball security during his complex, rapid-fire fakes and crossovers. A high Control stat prevents aggressive point guards from stealing the ball mid-animation while you are deciding to shoot or drive.
🟢 Green Potentials (Defense/Utility): Anti-Interference & Control
Why: Stacking more Anti-Interference and Control makes Himuro's isolation offense terrifyingly efficient. No matter how closely the opponent guards you, if they don't get a perfect block, you will score.
2. Best Traits (Passive Abilities)
Himuro's traits should reward him for confusing the defense. You want to enhance his accuracy immediately after performing a fake or crossover, and ensure his Mirage Shot remains unguardable.
🎭 Perfect Fake / Mirage Master
Effect: Significantly boosts your shooting hit-rate and anti-interference immediately after performing a pump fake or hesitation move.
Why: This is the core of Himuro's identity. Because his fakes look exactly like his real shots, opponents will constantly jump early. Once they land, this trait ensures your actual shot is mathematically guaranteed to go in.
🧘♂️ Calm Demeanor / Unwavering
Effect: Greatly reduces the penalty to shooting accuracy when a defender is heavily contesting (interfering) with your shot.
Why: When utilizing the second release of your Mirage Shot, defenders will often be desperately trying to contest it on their way down. This trait combined with your potentials makes Himuro essentially immune to shot contests.
⚡ Smooth Operator / Ankle Breaker
Effect: Increases the chance of causing the defender to stumble or fall down when performing a crossover or step-back.
Why: Himuro's streetball roots mean his dribbling is just as lethal as his shooting. Breaking an opponent's ankles forces the enemy Center to leave the paint to help, opening up massive passing lanes for your teammates or giving you a wide-open jumper.
💡 Strategy Tips
- Master the Mirage: Do not use the Mirage Shot every single time. The power of the Mirage Shot is the threat of it. Shoot regular jumpers early in the game. Once the defender starts jumping early to block your quick release, switch to the Mirage Shot to shoot over them as they fall back to the ground.
- Punish Aggression: If you are matched up against a heavy stealer (like Takao or Imayoshi), use your flawless pump fakes. If they jump, instantly drive past them for an open mid-range pull-up or a layup.
- Control the Pace: Himuro is elegant, not rushed. Use his fluid crossovers to rock the defender to sleep. Mix up your rhythm—sometimes drive instantly, sometimes string together two fakes before stepping back. Unpredictability is your greatest asset.
