Liu Wei - Ability Equipment Guide
In Kuroko's Basketball: Street Rivals, Liu Wei is a massive Small Forward (SF) representing Yosen High. Standing at an imposing 203 cm, he leverages his incredible height and wingspan to dominate both ends of the court. His playstyle bridges the gap between a traditional forward and a big man, allowing him to grab rebounds over smaller forwards, swat shots out of the air, and score reliably with unblockable high-release hook shots and mid-range jumpers.
To maximize Liu Wei's unique mismatched potential, you must focus your Ability Equipment (Potentials and Traits) on a Secondary Big Man & High-Release build that buffs his Mid-Range, Rebound, Block, and Jump stats.
1. Best Potentials (Base Stat Runes)
You want Liu Wei to act as a secondary Center who can also space the floor. Enhancing his rebounding and blocking makes your team's defense impenetrable, while boosting his mid-range ensures he remains a lethal offensive threat.
🔵 Blue Potentials (Offense/Physical): Mid-Range & Jump (or Close-Range)
Why: Mid-Range is crucial so defenders are forced to guard you away from the paint. Boosting the Jump stat directly increases your rebounding height and the vertical reach of your blocks, capitalizing on Liu's already massive wingspan.
🟡 Yellow Potentials (Hybrid): Mid-Range & Rebound
Why: This balances his scoring with his secondary role as a glass-cleaner. Against standard Small Forwards (who usually lack rebounding stats), Liu's enhanced Rebound stat guarantees that he will out-board his matchup every single time.
🟢 Green Potentials (Defense/Utility): Rebound & Block
Why: Maximizing these two stats turns Liu Wei into a defensive nightmare. Alongside your Center (ideally his teammate Murasakibara), this setup creates the infamous "Aegis of Yosen," completely shutting down any attacks at the rim.
2. Best Traits (Passive Abilities)
Traits for Liu Wei should focus on punishing height mismatches, securing loose balls, and guaranteeing that his high-release shots cannot be easily contested by shorter opponents.
🏀 Rebound King / Aerial Dominance
Effect: Significantly boosts your rebound grab range and physical priority when competing for a rebound.
Why: Because Liu Wei plays SF, he will rarely be guarded by a Center. This trait allows him to absolutely bully opposing Small Forwards and Shooting Guards on the glass to secure extra possessions for your team.
🎯 High Release / Mid-Range Maestro
Effect: Reduces the anti-interference penalty from defenders and increases shot accuracy when performing hook shots or mid-range jumpers.
Why: Liu Wei's signature hook shot is released very high in the air. This trait ensures that even if an opposing SF tries to jump and contest the shot, their shorter height won't affect your accuracy.
🛡️ Block Master / Help Defender
Effect: Increases your block range, block angle, and the timing window for a successful block.
Why: His 203cm frame naturally gives him a large blocking radius. This trait allows him to easily swat away step-back jumpers from opposing guards or play devastating help-defense in the paint.
💡 Strategy Tips
- Exploit the Mismatch: You are taller than almost every other SF in the game. Do not over-dribble. Catch the ball, face up, and rely on your high-release hook shot or jump shot to shoot straight over the top of smaller defenders. They physically cannot jump high enough to block you.
- Crash the Boards: Play like a secondary Center. Whenever your teammates shoot, immediately run toward the paint. If your Center gets boxed out, your immense height and Rebound potentials will allow you to snag the ball over the crowd.
- Play Help Defense: On defense, stick to your man but keep an eye on the paint. If an enemy guard drives past your Point Guard, use your high Block stat and long arms to rotate quickly and swat their layup into the stands.
