Daiki Aomine - Ability Equipment Guide
In Kuroko's Basketball: Street Rivals, the base version of Daiki Aomine is the unstoppable ace of Touou Academy. His playstyle is completely unorthodox, bringing limitless streetball mechanics to the structured game of basketball. He operates as an elite Forward, utilizing unpredictable changes of pace, explosive crossovers, and his signature "Formless Shots" that can be released from practically any angle and body position.
To maximize Aomine's arrogant but effective 1-on-1 dominance, you must equip an Isolation & Shot-Creator build that heavily buffs his Mid-Range, Control, Dunk, and Steal stats.
1. Best Potentials (Base Stat Runes)
Aomine creates his own offense. You need to ensure that his streetball dribbles do not result in turnovers and that his bizarre shooting animations consistently find the bottom of the net, even when heavily contested.
🔵 Blue Potentials (Offense): Mid-Range & Control (or Dunk)
Why: Mid-Range is his most reliable scoring zone outside of the paint. Control is absolutely essential—it dictates the speed of his crossovers and heavily reduces the chance of him being bumped and stripped by opposing Point Guards while he is dancing on the perimeter.
🟡 Yellow Potentials (Hybrid): Mid-Range & Steal
Why: This keeps your offensive threat high while capitalizing on Aomine's incredible natural agility. His high speed makes him an excellent perimeter defender; boosting Steal allows you to punish opponents for holding the ball too long utilizing his "Animal Instincts".
🟢 Green Potentials (Defense/Utility): Steal & Control (or Block)
Why: Continuing to build on Steal and Control makes Aomine a nightmare in a 1-on-1 situation on both ends of the floor. If you prefer to play as a secondary rim protector, you can swap to Block to utilize his incredible jumping ability for chase-down blocks.
2. Best Traits (Passive Abilities)
Aomine's traits should reward him for playing selfishly. You want to enhance his ability to break ankles and guarantee that his Formless Shots pierce through defensive interference.
🐺 Lone Wolf / Isolation Master
Effect: Greatly increases your offensive stats (Hit Rate and Anti-Interference) when there are no teammates within a certain radius of you.
Why: "The only one who can beat me is me." Aomine requires his teammates to clear out. When you isolate your defender on one side of the court, this trait makes your offense mathematically unguardable.
🏀 Streetball Master / Ankle Breaker
Effect: Increases the chance of causing the defender to stumble or fall down when performing a crossover, hesitation, or sudden change of direction.
Why: Aomine's base kit is full of sudden stops and starts. This trait capitalizes on his streetball animations, forcing the defender to guess your next move and dropping them to the floor when they guess wrong.
🌪️ Formless Scorer / Unstoppable
Effect: Greatly reduces the penalty to shooting accuracy when shooting through a defender's contest (interference), or instantly after a crossover.
Why: Because Aomine shoots fading away, leaning sideways, or even from behind the backboard, defenders will constantly trigger "Interference." This trait guarantees your contested circus shots still go in.
💡 Strategy Tips
- Master the Change of Pace: Do not just spam the dribble button. Drive hard to one side to make the defender sprint to cut you off, then suddenly stop and use a formless shot, or cross back over while they are still moving. Aomine is all about rhythm and breaking the opponent's timing.
- Shoot from Weird Angles: Your Formless Shots are incredibly difficult to block because the release timing and jump arc are totally different from standard jumpers. Use this to your advantage by shooting exactly when the defender thinks you are going to pass or drive.
- Clear the Paint: Aomine is fast, but his formless layups and dunks can still be blocked if he runs into a waiting Center like Murasakibara. Always ensure your team's Center drags the opposing big man out of the paint before you begin your streetball isolation.
