Atsushi Murasakibara - Ability Equipment Guide
In Kuroko's Basketball: Street Rivals, Atsushi Murasakibara is the ultimate Center (C) representing the Generation of Miracles. His playstyle is built around absolute dominance in the paint, utilizing his massive frame, enormous wingspan, and overwhelming physical strength to block everything that enters his airspace and shatter the rim with his unblockable "Thor's Hammer" dunk.
To maximize Murasakibara's absolute defense, you must focus your Ability Equipment (Potentials and Traits) on an Absolute Wall & Rebounding build that massively buffs his Block, Rebound, Strength, and Dunk stats.
1. Best Potentials (Base Stat Runes)
Your primary goal is to control the paint. If you win the rebounding battle and block incoming drives, your team will win the game. Strength and Block are his most important defensive metrics.
🔵 Blue Potentials (Offense/Physical): Dunk & Strength (or Rebound)
Why: Strength is vital for a Center. It allows Murasakibara to physically push opposing Centers out of the way during a box-out and prevents him from being bumped. The Dunk stat ensures that his "Thor's Hammer" finishes cleanly through heavy contact.
🟡 Yellow Potentials (Hybrid): Rebound & Block
Why: These are the two most critical stats for a defensive Center. Maximizing Rebound ensures you dictate second-chance points, while Block allows you to swat away layups, dunks, and even mid-range jumpers with ease.
🟢 Green Potentials (Defense/Utility): Block & Rebound (or Jump)
Why: Murasakibara's greatest asset is his suffocating block range. Maximizing his Block stat expands his defensive radius so much that he can swat away layups and mid-range shots from almost a step behind the free-throw line. If you opt for "Jump", you slightly increase his vertical block radius.
2. Best Traits (Passive Abilities)
Traits for Murasakibara should focus on completely locking down the paint, securing boards through sheer force, and lowering enemy shot percentages passively.
🛡️ Block Master / Paint Protector
Effect: Significantly increases your block range, block angle, and the timing window for a successful block.
Why: Murasakibara already has the largest natural block radius in the game. This trait turns his defense into absolute terror, allowing him to block shots from behind or even while standing slightly outside the paint.
🏀 Rebound King / Aerial Dominance
Effect: Boosts your rebound grab range and your physical priority (Strength) when competing for a rebound.
Why: You will constantly be battling enemy Centers like Otsubo or Kiyoshi. This trait ensures that when the ball bounces off the rim, Murasakibara reaches it first and cannot be boxed out easily.
🔨 Unstoppable Force / Power Dunk
Effect: Reduces the chance of getting blocked when performing a dunk, and increases hit-rate through contact.
Why: Thor's Hammer is an incredible scoring tool, but experienced players will try to time their blocks. This trait makes his dunks almost impossible to contest cleanly without the defender getting knocked down.
💡 Strategy Tips
- Dominate the Paint: Do not chase fast guards out to the 3-point line unless absolutely necessary. Your block range is enormous; hover around the free-throw line so you can instantly close the gap to block both mid-range pull-ups and attacks at the rim.
- Box Out Early: Rebounding isn't just about jumping; it's about positioning. Use your high Strength stat. Press and hold the "Box Out" button before the ball hits the rim to physically push enemy Centers completely out of the rebounding circle.
- Unleash Thor's Hammer Wisely: Your signature dunk is virtually unblockable but requires space to execute. Wait for the opposing Center to jump on a pump fake, get out of position, or use it immediately after grabbing an offensive rebound before the defense can reset.
