And between them is a barrier, and on the elevated platform are men who recognized others by their features. And they called out to the dwellers of the Paradise: "Peace be upon you!" They have not yet entered it, but they are hoping.

A barrier divides the two groups with men on its heights recognizing each group by their marks: they will call out to the people of the Garden, ‘Peace be with you!’- they will not have entered, but they will be hoping

And between the 2, there will be a barrier and on Al-A’raf (heights) there will be people who will recognize every one by their marks (Paradise by white faces and hell by black faces). They will call out to the residents of Paradise: “Peace be on you.” They (people on Al-A’raf) will not have yet entered it (Paradise), but they will hope (to enter).

And betwixt the twain there will be a veil, and, on the heights will be men recognising them all by their mark, and they will cry unto the fellows of the Garden; peace be unto you! They will not have entered it yet, while they shall be longing

There will be a veil between them, and on the wall will be the men (of al-A'raf) who will recognise everyone by their distinguishing marks, and will call to the inmates of Paradise: "Peace on you," without having entered it themselves though hoping to do so

There is a curtain between the two (Paradise and Hell)... And on A’raf (the state of those who have believed in their essence, but have not yet duly experienced its outcome) are men who recognize each of them by the marks on their faces... They will call out to the people of Paradise, “Assalamu alaikum.” They (these men) have not yet entered Paradise, but they long for it.

And between Heaven and Hell there is a veil and on the Heights, there shall be some men who will recognise both groups by their fore-heads' and call the people of Heaven, '(saying) peace be upon you, 'these have not entered into the Heaven but are greedy for it.

There will be a dividing wall between them and on the ramparts there will be men who recognise everyone by their mark. They will call out to the people of the Garden: ´Peace be upon you!´ They will not enter it for all their ardent desire to do so.

And between the two there is a barrier, and on the Heights (between Paradise and Hell) are some men, recognizing each by their countenances. They – not yet entering Paradise, but longing for it – call out to the companions of Paradise: "Peace be upon you!"

And there will be a veil between them. And on the Elevations will be certain men who recognize each of them by their mark. They will call out to the inhabitants of paradise, ‘Peace be to you!’ (They will not have entered it, though they would be eager to do so

And between the two (- the Fire and the Paradise) is a barrier, and on the elevated places there shall be men (like the Prophets and other exalted spiritual dignitaries) who will recognise every one by his appearance. And they shall call out to the (prospective) inmates of Paradise, `Peace be on you!' These (prospective inmates of Paradise) will not have (yet) entered therein, though they will be hoping (for this entry)

And between them is a veil, and on the Ramparts are men knowing each by their mark, who shall call to the inhabitants of Paradise: 'Peace be upon you! They have not entered it, for all their eagerness.

And between the two of them there is a barrier. And on the heights, there are men who recognize everyone by their appearance, and they will call out to inhabitants of the garden that have not entered it yet, but they hope (to do so:) “Peace (and well-being) upon you.”

There will be a barrier between the inhabitants of Paradise and those who have to live in Hell. There will also be a group of people waiting in the heights (purgatory) hoping to be admitted into Paradise. They recognize each group by their faces and send their salutations to the inhabitants of the Paradise saying : "Salamon-Alaikum (meaning peace be with you in Arabic.)"

Between them will be a veil, and above will be those who would know everyone by their marks. They will call out to the companions of the garden, “Peace be upon you.” They would not have entered, but they will have an assurance of it

And they called out to the (would be) companions of Paradise thus: “Salamun Alaikum (Peace and tranquility be over you).” They (who are greeted thus) have not (yet) entered this (Paradise) but they desire (it on the basis of the Faith and deeds)

And between them both is a partition. And on the Elevated Places will be men who recognize everyone by their mark. And they will cry out to the Companions of the Garden that: Peace be on you. They enter it not and they are desirous of it.

And between both (of them, the inmates of Paradise and Hell) there is a barrier (i.e., ramparts or heights), and on the A‘raf (the Heights), there will be men who will recognize all by their features. And they will call out to the people of Paradise: ‘Peace be upon you.’ They (the people of the A‘raf [the Heights]) will not have entered Paradise (themselves as yet) but will be aspiring (to that)

They would recognize all by their distinctive features. To the people of paradise they would say, "Peace upon you."

They will call out to the inhabitants of the Paradise: "Peace be upon you!" They have not yet entered it even though they long to.

And between them shall be a partition; and on the wall AL ARAF shall be men who will know all, by their tokens, and they shall cry to the inmates of Paradise, "Peace be on you!" but they shall not yet enter it, although they long to do so

Between (the faithful servants and the unforgiven sinners) will be a partition. On the heights will be people who recognize others by their marks. They will call to the companions of Paradise, “Peace to you!” They [the forgiven servants] will not have yet entered the garden, but they will already have the assurance.

And between the two there will be a barrier, and on the Heights will be men who will recognize each person by his mark and will cry, out to the people of Paradise: ´Peace be to you.´These will be the ones who had not yet joined them in Paradise, though they long to do so

And between the two there will be a barrier. And there will be persons who [in life] were endowed with the faculty of discernment [between right and wrong], recognizing each by its mark. And they will call out unto the inmates of paradise, "Peace be upon you!"-not having entered it themselves, but longing [for it]

And between them is a curtain, and on the battlements are men who recognize (them) all by their mark; and they will call out to the companions of the Garden, "Peace be upon you! They have not (yet) entered it, and they long (Or: ara eager) for that."

Between them shall be a (great) barrier. And on the Heights (between ‘Al- Jannah’ & Gehenna) are men who would know every one by his marks. They call unto the Denizens of Al-Jannah, (saying), "Peace be to you”: they have not entered yet although they earnestly hope to enter.

And there will be a barrier (between Al- Jannah & Gehenna). And on the Heights will be men who know all by their appearance. They call out to the Denizens of Al-Jannah: "Peace Be Upon You”: They will have not yet entered Al- Jannah, but earnestly hope so.

A wall will appear between both groups, and on the high places there will be men who recognise each other from their features, and they will call out to the people of Paradise, “Peace be on you.” They won’t have entered it, but they will be longing to do so

There will be a barrier between Paradise and Hell. And on the heights ˹of that barrier˺ will be people who will recognize ˹the residents of˺ both by their appearance. They will call out to the residents of Paradise, “Peace be upon you!” They will have not yet entered Paradise, but eagerly hope to.
