Evil is the case of those who deny Our signs and wrong themselves

People who reject Our signs are evil, and they wrong their own souls.

How wretched is the state of people who deny Our signs (manifestations of Names) and (hence) do wrong to their selves!

How sad is the story of those who chose to disregard My revelations and, consequently, do injustice to their own souls

Bad is the example of the nation of those who belied Our Ayaat, and (to) their ownselves they used to do injustice

An odious likeness (is the likeness) of the people who have cried lies to Our signs, and to themselves they were doing injustice.

As an example, they were an extremely bad community who belied Our Revelations! (In fact) they persistently wronged their own souls

Evil is the likeness of the people who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses and signs, etc.), and used to wrong their ownselves

Evil is the example of people who are bent on giving the lie to Our messages: for it is against their own selves that they are sinning

Evil is the likeness of the people who refuse to give credence to Our ‘Revelations’; for it is against their own selves that they deliberately keep on sinning.

It became bad/evil an example/proverb (of) the nation those who lied/denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences, and were causing injustice/oppression (to) themselves

Evil is the likeness of the people who who persistently refuses to acknowledge what We have revealed of the Knowledge of the Truth. They are being unfair to their own selves.
