Quran 7 : 134

And when fell on them the punishment, they said, "O Musa! Invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised to you. If you remove from us the punishment surely, we will believe [for] you and surely, we will send with you (the) Children (of) Israel."

When caught in a plague, they would say: “Musa, pray to your Lord for us through the contract you have. If you can relieve us of the plague, we will believe you and send the Israelites with you.

(They did not understand that the pledge of Allah with His Messenger was only that of obeying His Commands and His blessings in return. It did not involve any supernatural phenomena such as miracles)
